Hairfinity Tress Talk Featuring Glamazini

Hairfinity Tress Talk Featuring Glamazini

The Hairfinity blogger for October is none other than the ever fabulous Ms Roshini Cope, of Glamazini.  Hairfinity caught up with the St. Louis based beauty blogger to hear how she got into Vlogging, and how she keeps her hair healthy and beautiful.

How long have you been vlogging?
Just short of 7 years.

Who is your favorite vlogger?
Probably Bronzegoddess01 – she is my absolute favorite.

What do you love the most about your hair?

I love the versatility of my hair: I switch it up a lot and my hair supports that. I also have a love/hate relationship with how thick my hair is, but ultimately, I love the fullness and how big it can get.

What is your favorite hair style?

Twist-outs – especially when they get big and fluffy.

When was the last time you got your hair cut?
I trimmed about a half an inch off a couple months ago. Prior to that, I was bald in April 2013, which was my last barber visit.

Can you tell us a little about your daily beauty regime?

Most wash days are on Saturdays and I always choose a style that will need little to no intervention during the week.  If I choose a twist-out, I may or may not re-twist my hair at night. If I choose to braid my hair and wear a wig I prep my leave out to match the wig texture and spray a leave in conditioner before I head to bed.  If I choose an up-do I typically do nothing. I moisturize every 2-3 days and sleep wearing a satin bonnet or scarf.

What is the best advice you can give to women who want natural hair?
Keep it simple. The beginning of your journey will seem complicated as you perfect your regimen but once you find something that works, get rid of all that other stuff and do what works.  Also moisturize and finger-detangle before you use a comb.

How do you keep your hair healthy?

I eat clean proteins, leafy greens and drink large amounts of water daily. Beyond that, I keep my hair moisturized and wear protective styles occasionally and through most of the dry winter months to give my hair a rest.
